Kaia Bamboo Cleansing Cloths Review!

When I was initially approached to
Review this product I was a little skeptical. I would never and will never use a face wipe to clean my face. They are so full of alcohol, parabens and other nasty ingredients which are doing your skin a lot more harm than good. So I put my concerns forward to the lovely Eavann from Envy Organica and she assured me that these Bamboo wipes are 100% natural and only contains natural and skin friendly ingredients. She also assured me that while it states a type of alcohol as an ingredient that is a derivative of essential oils, so further proving it is natural.

Even having been told all of this I was still a little worried about using this on my face, as I only ever use Caudalie or Avene on my face. I was VERY pleasantly suprised! The cloth felt so soft, like washing my face with soft cotton, and it had a very subtle smell, not perfume like at all. I had quite alot of make up on that day and it all came off very quickly and with one wipe.

After, my skin felt SO fresh, and very soft & moisturised. I was suprised at how hydrated my skin felt!

My sister Romy has SUPER sensitive skin so I knew that would be a good test for the wipes, she used them and found them so gentle, and left her skin feeling so soft. For someone who can use very little on her skin it shoes just how skin friendly these wipes are.

It's not something I'd use every night simply because I love using my products at night before bed. But I will always have a box at my bedside locker for nights out, it lazy nights because they are so excellent for cleaning! A box will keep fresh for 12 months so one box could last for months! They will be super handy for upcoming festivals and even on weekends away.

They retail at €19.99 for a box of 30 which I know sounds a bit pricey, but like I said, you wouldn't use them every night, one will take off all your make up & they're so handy. You can also pick them up in single sachets to try them out! We will be stocking them in Foody's Pharmacy so you can pick them up there!

I also received the most delectable hand cream & body balm EVER. It glides on like butter, dries in very fast and leaves your skin feign unbelievably soft without a greasy feeling.

I would Definitely recommend these products if you're looking for a little pick me up. :) thank you so much to Envy Organica in Kiltimagh for sending me these products to try out!

Caudalie Polyphenol C15 Review!

Good evening!

I know this post comes a little later than expected (so unlike me, right? Naat..)
But I wanted to wait until we had official launch day of the product in work, which was yesterday!
Anyone who knows me, or who has been following my blog for a while will know how utterly OBSESSED I am with Caudalie. I love Caudalie. I know I'm throwing that word around a lot, but I'm currently not in love with any person so there's room for me to be in love with a Skincare range!
I had never heard of Caudalie before I started working in Foody's Pharmacy 3 years ago, and to think of what I used to use on my skin makes me shudder to my core. Here's a little background info on this range for those of you who havent heard of it.(If you have met me, you can probably skim past this part as I never shut up about this range.)

Caudalie is a French range, it is 100% natural and made from organic ingredients, with the modest grape being the most important ingredient. The grape contains many parts, and each part has a function for the skin, fighting against wrinkles and correcting damage already done. Caudalie split the grape in to 3 Parts and Patented these three parts, they are as follows:

Polyphenols- the juice of the grape
Vinifrene- The sap of the grapevine
Resveratrol- the Stalk of the grapevine

In another blog I will delve further in to each patent, but for now I will be concentrating on Polyphenols, and C15 to be more precise.

I am lucky enough to work in a pharmacy that sells my favourite Skincare product because it means I have the luxury of being trained to know all about the range, and also it means I can try out everything in the range, therefore being able to give real advice about it.

Caudalie recently sent me an amazing pack with the entire Polyphenol C15 range for me to try, and review on my blog- Thank you guys!! I was so excited bringing home my new treats to try! There is nothing in Caudalie that I don't like, so I knew I would love this range, but I wasn't prepared for the sheer volume of love I now have for it.

Caudalie have developed this revolutionary range which is changing the skin of women and men around the world. Did you know that you can prevent 4/5 wrinkles? Did you know that FREE RADICALS are the first and main cause of ageing in the skin? Did you know that the first thing Free Radicals will attack is Hyaluronic Acid? Did you also know that by using this new range in Caudalie that you can correct and prevent all of this?

Caudalie have added and stabilised Vitamin C to their patented ingredient Polyphenol. The combination of the two ingredients has produced incredible results. This powerful duo will BLOCK the skin from Free Radicals 100% and will also CORRECT damage that has been done to the skin. Read on to see how I found the products....

I can safely say that it is my favourite range so far. Here's a line up of the products:

First off my favourite piece- The Overnight Detox Oil-

If I could drink this oil I would. This is a night oil, applied to the face after cleansing and before your night time moisturiser. I have been using it for 2 weeks now and the change in my skin is incredible. My skin is so clear, so glowing when I wake up in the morning, it has never looked better. For the first time in a while I can actually SEE my skin. I use this oil every night and on alternate nights I'll use it before my Serum. This oil, like the entire range is 100% natural. Which means no parabens, no alcohol and no perfume among some of the nasty additives present in so many Skincare ranges. Over night this oil helps tired skin regenerate and rejuvenate leaving you with detoxed and glowing skin when you wake. This has totally changed my skin. Every morning I wake up and my skin feels so soft and looks so fresh. So much so that last week I didn't wear foundation to work! Being a girl, you will know how big that is..And I didn't wear it because I didn't want to cover up my new found skin.

The difference I have seen in my skin in two week is amazing, you NEED to try this oil.

Next up: the Fluid:

Even though I wasn't wearing make up, I made sure that I had this fluid on so I and SPF. If you do one thing today to change your skincare regime start wearing SPF. I cannot stress this enough. People don't realise the damage the sun is doing to their skin and by not wearing any SPF you are allowing your bare skin to be destroyed and aged by the sun's harmful rays. Even on days when the sun is hidden behind colours, the rays are still there so never leave the house with SPF! I love the fluid texture of this, it's perfect before my make up and it glides on the skin. I have oil combination skin so this balances the oils in my skin keeping me shine free all day. I love this!

Next up- The Anti-Wrinkle Serum-

As well as the two powerful ingredients, this serum also contains Hyaluronic Acid which moisturises and plumps the skin giving it back it's youth after it's attack by the free radicals. This is very high in antioxidants, and will correct and defend the skin from further damage. I use this either on it's own day or night before my cream or oil. This serum feels amazing on my skin, it clears my skin of any dullness and makes it look incredibly youthful and radiant. This is my favouorte serum in the Caudalie Range with the Radiance serum coming a very close second.

Next up- Eye and Lip Cream

This little bottle is quite the miracle worker.. Packed full of polyphenols, vitamin C and antioxidants, this eye and lip cream will ensure that bags and dark circles will be happily banished. You should always use a different cream on your eyes than you use on your face because the skin is so different on both and your eye cannot take as much product as the rest of your face. This is a light texture but leaves your eyes and lip area feeling refreshed, soothed and firmed.

So that's the range in a nutshell. As you can tell I LOVE it. It gets a big thumbs up from me and in terms of what it has done for my skin, I am giving this a 10/10.. If you don't use Caudalie you NEED to start. I cannot stress enough how much I love this entire range, I can honestly say I will NEVER change. The difference in my skin is incredible since I began using this three years ago, and I've seen even more of an improvement since starting the C15 range. If you're ever around Ballina then call in and I can give you some samples to try the range yourself- your skin will thank you!

Here are some pictures of our Launch at work we had such a great day ! Huge thanks to Hannah Ferguson of Crimson Threads who popped in and got some samples!

25 things every woman should have by the time she's turns 25

I am turning 25 this august, I know, it's still 'young' to anyone over 30 and ANCIENT to anyone under 20, but it is something that I have found myself panicking about a little..Just bear with me..

I'm not saying that I'm getting old or that I'm 'over the hill', I'm panicking because when I think back on when I was 18 I did not think id be where I am at 25. I have a great life, I really do, and I'm so grateful, but to say that I'm exactly where I want to be is a huge understatement. Yes, I'm in a job I love, but it's not a career, I couldn't pay for the next round of drinks let alone have enough money to buy a house, my wardrobe is brimming with clothes, and I still have nothing to wear, I haven't travelled the world, and I'm single. I hate that that's a big deal in your late twenties. When I imagined being 25 I thought I would be living in a fabulous home in a city with my future husband adorned in the best clothes and my life would be wrapped up perfectly. I thought 25 was SO OLD. Now, I look around my parents house where I am still living, and after a mini meltdown about the direction my life is heading I see that most people my age are in the same boat. There is no age limit on when you should have your 'shit together'. As long  as you know the direction you want to go in, and you have a plan, dreams and motivation that is what is important.

It's very easy to compare your life to what society thinks you should be doing at a given age, it's also very easy to freak out if you are not adhering to said societal norms, but if you waste your time panicking about 'getting old' life will literally pass you by, as will opportunities..

This is very deep of me...

The post below is brilliant, and intend on making my way through this list by the time I turn 26.
I want to Stress that the post underneath my sign off is NOT mine! It was written by Brianna Wiest here's the original link:

And if I don't make it through the list, it's not the end of the world...

Although I might just have to move to Canada and buy a cat.

So here's to being 25, here's to not having a bloody clue what you're doing or who you're doing, and having a great time doing it. 25 will be fabulous girls, I can just feel it.

25 Things Every Woman Should Have By The Time She Turns 25

1. Enough confidence to no longer feel the need to justify what she eats, who she dates or what she wears, not only to other people, but to herself.

2. The goal of a bank account with a few months’ living expenses in it, if she doesn’t have that already. Just in case.

3. Only the phone numbers, Facebook friends, weekend plans, and roommates she actually wants.

4. A best friend

who is like a sister.

5. A space of her own.

6. A good idea of what she needs in a romantic relationship, not just what she wants, or what she thinks she needs, and the willingness to explore different people and other ideas to find what exactly that is.

7. A closet of what she considers to be her “staples,” and among these things, something to wear to an interview, funeral, wedding, impromptu Friday night drink at a casual bar and dream date if ever someone were to call out of the blue.

8. The tact and grace to ask for a raise, a promotion, a change in a relationship or a date with someone she’s into.

9. The faith that she deserves those things.

10. A favorite coffee order, go-to restaurant for when friends visit from out of town, hairstyle that takes less than five minutes in the morning, “thank you” cards in her desk drawer, the print copy of her favorite book, and bedding that she is proud to show off.

11. A hobby that has nothing to do with drinking, shopping or somebody else.

12. The recipes for a number of easy meals memorized.

13. The desire and discipline to actually cook for herself. (Just herself.)

14. A trip she tells awesome stories about and a trip she has awesome plans for.

15. A sense that she’s let go of resenting other women for what they do or don’t have over her.

16. Enough of a healthy relationship with her body that her contentment no longer hinges on comparison, or what her partner would think.

17. At least one date in her memory with the kind of partner who wouldn’t care about those things anyway.

18. Forgiveness if she’s dated men who haven’t quite matured as quickly as women tend to in their early 20s.

19. The knowledge of what she wants in bed and the confidence to ask for it without feeling uncomfortable.

20. A drill, a non-stick pan, a credit card line nobody else has access to, a bra that she was measured for at the store and working knowledge of how to change a tire, unclog a pipe, make an investment and find shoes on the extra 40% rack.

21. A relationship with her mother, even if it’s the decision that their relationship will be at least functioning, if not familial.

22. A passport, a sturdy piece of luggage, and the ability to pack the essentials at a moment’s notice should she be offered the chance to get away for a weekend, a week, or a whole new life.

23. The following emergency kit: Tylenol/Advil, eyedrops, a tampon, hand sanitizer, a fresh pair of underwear, a travel sized toothbrush, hydrocolloid bandages for blisters, $20 cash, a condom, and Plan B.

24. Forgiveness for who she was.

25. An idea of who she wants to be. TC mark

Style diary of what I wore to the Irish Pharmacy Awards!

Hello! I know that this post is coming a little a little late but I really wanted to post it regrardless. I attended the Irish Pharmacy Awards a couple of weeks ago because we reached the finals (go us) in three categories where I work in Foody's Pharmacy! To say we were excited is an understatement. I didn't sleep for a week beforehand, and people who know me will know that that is not an exaggeration. The ball was Black Tie which meant two things- hot pharmacists in tuxes AND we got to wear floor length gowns and get super glammed up. I'll get to the dress in a while- but first- the prep.

My prep for this event started about two weeks before hand, (cue men rolling their eyes and women nodding their heads in unison). I was getting a spray tan done so my skin had to be in tip top shape. To make sure it was, and to scrub off about 10years of tan build up I used three products, the Holy Grail if you will.

Firstly, an oily salt scrub. The one I used was a new range we have at work called SeeSee which is made from minerals in the Dead Sea. This product is amazing, it lifted off all remaining tan very gently and exfoliated my skin without feeling like id been dipped in a frying pan. After you wash it off it leaves a layer of gorgeous oils on the skin and it smells incredible!

The second essential is the modest exfoliating glove. Even though the scrub was pretty heavy duty the gloves were needed also, I literally haven't been my natural Casper-like colour in about ten years! :D

And lastly, is the Avene Cold Cream Body Lotion. This stuff is so brilliant. It envelopes the skin a rich, non greasy cocoon of moisture which lasts all day, it was perfect for giving my skin the best base before the spray tan.

I got my Tan done in Ruby Brown's I went with the recommendation from Andie Murray in their who suggested I try He-Shi Medium and I absolutely loved it. It looked so natural and lasted for about a week. I can't say enough  about the girls in Ruby Brown's, they are so nice, helpful and professional, I have never come out of there less than 100% happy!  Thanks a mil Andie and girls,  I'll def be back again soon!

So the next day I woke up a few shades darker with my fake tan, fake nails, and fake hair all curled and I was ready for the off! I didn't want to wear too much make up going because I knew I'd be caking it on for the awards later that night so I let my outfit do the talking. The top I'm wearing is a favourite of mine from Topshop which I love wearing so so much, it's unfortunately sold out now sorry :( , I managed to snap it up in black last week before that sold out also! It's a soft chiffon material which comes down a lot lower at the back, it goes with everything in my wardrobe. I paired this with my new Oasis Jeans my new favourites, the Isabella. I saw these on Mollie King and myself and my sister bought them straight away. I love how they are mid waisted so you don't spend the entire day a
Doing the sexy squat and yank of the trousers- hate that- and they are cropped just above the ankle. They Are super comfy and I know I'll wear them to absolute death. Here's the link:

The shoes are metallic Topshop Courts which I bought at Christmas and I have worn to death. I actually bought two pairs and they are both worn to pieces, but they're so comfy!

The bag is my new pride and joy which I bought in my fave- Gerry McGuire's in Ballina it's blue DKNY cross body or short handle bag and I love it so much!

The necklace is one I picked up from our amazing jewellery collection at work -Nour London- I just love the diamonds and pastel colours.

Here's what the jeans look like on Mollie the big ride:

So when we arrived at the Burlingon myself and Mary had a quick glass of wine and went off to our rooms to start getting ready- excitement levels were at an all time HIGH at this stage.

So, the dress. We had a bit of a disaster regarding the dress a few days beforehand which meant I only had a few days to find a suitable dress online that would go with existing shoes/bags/earrings and which also wouldn't cost me a fortune. So after a few hours of trawling the internet I picked up this beauty on ASOS on sale for €60 - (love it when that happens.) It was a full length black kimono style dress with a leg slit and a plunge neck. It was a velvet like stretchy material with embossed floral designs on it. I was so comfortable in it all night! I'm pretty sure it's sold out now but here's the link incase it comes back in stock!

http://www.asos.com/ASOS/ASOS-Devore-Kimono-Maxi-Dress/Prod/pgeproduct.aspx?iid=3240328

Also I know that that is coming up as US ASOS and I have no idea why but i assume it still works?!

To accessorise I wore beautiful drop emerald green earrings which I picked up from Glamorize o
In Ballina :

At the back the dress was also plunge so I took a large green piece of a huge statement chain I had and stuck it on to an old long gold chain I had so it fell down the back of my dress:

Here are a few fun snaps of the night! Myself and Mary met Miriam O'Callaghan who we made get in for a snapchat selfie, and yes, she is really really nice in real life, and yes, she does look even better in real life.

So that's all, if you've made it down this far at 9pm on a Thursday night I commend you.

Thanks for reading as always :) Feel free to comment or give your opinions I'd love to hear from you!
